Micro Direct
The SmokeCheck
Summary

The SmokeCheck is the most cost effective Carbon Monoxide monitor available in the World. The SmokeCheck has been designed as a simple screening test for cigarette consumption. With its single switch operation, and single breath requirement, the SmokeCheck will instantly provide an indication to a persons smoking habits.

Results are given in PPM and are backed up with bright color light indicators. When used in conjunction with the smoking cessation guide chart, %COHb levels are readily available. SmokeChecks extreme portability, low cost and ease of use make it the ideal tool for every successful smoking cessation program.

With the release of the new SmokeCheck, you now have the choice of two CO monitors designed to meet your specific needs. If you require an exact measurement of carbon monoxide and %COHb, the MicroCO, product # MC02 is still the clear choice. The MicroCO can be combined with COBRA software for performing and storing CO breath tests on your PC.

Features

The SmokeCheck is the most cost effective CO monitor available today. Four ranges of CO levels are  featured on the custom LCD:

  • At 0 to 6 ppm a green light indicates a non-smoker
  • At 7 to 10 ppm an amber light indicates a light smoker
  • At 11 to 20 ppm a red light indicates a smoker
  • At 20+ ppm a red flashing light with audible alarm indicates a heavy smoker.
Ease of Use

Measurements are easily obtained from a single exhalation and are aided by an auto-zero function at turn on, combined with a breath hold countdown timer. These results are then instantly displayed on the large, easy to read liquid crystal display, and are visually represented by the appropriate color light indicator.

Calibration Gas

To achieve measurements of the greatest accuracy we recommend that the unit be calibrated on a regular basis. Micro Direct can supply calibration gas (20 ppm CO in Nitrogen) complete with a control valve (Cat. No. MC15) for simple and economic user calibration. The gas is supplied in convenient, disposable, aluminum aerosol cans containing 17 liters of gas. With this can approximately 10 calibrations of the MicroCO or SmokeCheck can be readily achieved. Additional gas cans are also available (Cat. No. MC10).
